SEQual Delivers Inaugural Member Event

SEQual Connect 2022 took place on 9th November in Aberdeen, exclusively for current SEQual members and invited guests. With over 300 attendees, the event included informative presentations, 1-to-1 meetings between Buyers and Suppliers, panel discussions, and networking opportunities. Opening the event, SEQual Manager Sakthi Norton spoke of the level of trust in SEQual pre-qualification assessments, and SEQual’s unique position in supporting HSE, quality, procurement, and supply chain activity and efficiency  across the industry, with developments planned to support energy transition activity more directly, as well as delivering further value to SEQual members.

The programme included plenary presentations by SEQual Buyers bp, Centurion Group, Harbour Energy, Repsol-Sinopec, Shell, Spirit Energy, and TAQA,  as well as industry regulator the North Sea Transition Authority, covering topics on the themes of supply chain activity and HSEQ assurance. Over 350 1-to-1 meetings were booked, enabling face-to-face introductions between Suppliers and Buyers. Two panel discussions facilitated by OEUK were also held, the first on the topic of challenges in material supply, with panellists from Spirit Energy, ChampionX, ABL Group, and 80:20 Procurement, and the second on the topic of energy transition and the supply chain, with panellists from Centurion Group, Harbour Energy, and Katoni.

The enthusiasm, energy, and interaction between SEQual members on the day was evident, with positive feedback conveyed by attendees. The event is set to be held again in 2023.
